Betting Odds To Win The 2011-12 NBA Championship
by Eddie Keen

The teams haven’t even reported to training camp yet, but Bodog has already released their 2011/12 betting odds to win the NBA Championship. Does Bodog believe that the Dallas Mavericks will repeat, or will LeBron James or Kobe Bryant lead their respective teams to the title?

This may be the year that LeBron finally gets the monkey off his back. Bodog has the Miami Heat as 2/1 favorites to win the NBA Championship. All indications are that the Heat will stand pat with their current squad, so the question remains can James, Wade, and Bosh collectively shake off the pressure and deliver when it counts?

Some of you might have guessed that the Los Angles Lakes would be the choice to win it all. However, we’re surprised that they are the second choice with betting odds of 7/2. The Lakers are getting old and many believe that their roster needs an upgrade. Will Los Angles be able to swing a deal to get Kobe Bryan a super star running mate such as Orlando’s Dwight Howard?

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder are Bodog’s third choice at 7/1 odds. The Thunder made a lot of noise last year but can Durant do it all by himself especially in the tough Western Conference. In last year’s NBA Playoffs the Thunder advanced to the Western Conference Finals getting knocked out by the eventual Champion Mavericks in five games. However, two of those losses were by six points and another was an overtime defeat. Could this be the year they break through?

If you’re a Chicago fan you might want to make a small wager on your Bulls as they are at attractive betting odds of 15/2. Last year the Bulls looked like they were going to make it to the finals; that was until LeBron James put the clamps on Derrick Rose in the Eastern Conference Championship. After opening that series with a 21 point win over Miami, the Bulls let the Heat come back and swept out of the playoffs. Maybe this year Rose and company will find a way to get past the Heat.

Last year the Mavericks pulled a huge upset to beat Miami and win the NBA Championship. The Heat were 2-1 favorites to beat Dallas and take the title back to Miami. However, after taking a 2-1 series lead, and a big lead in game four, the Heat and LeBron James collapsed having to watch Dirk and the Mavs ride back to Dallas with the NBA Championship. Can the Mavericks repeat? Bodog doesn’t think so as they have installed the NBA future line on Dallas at a whopping 10/1. That’s right Dallas fans, throw a hundred down on Dallas and if they repeat it will get you back a thousand.

Boy how the once mighty has fallen. Who do you think has the longest odds to win the NBA Title. You’re right if you guess the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers. They are the longest shot at Bodog at 200/1 odds.

For all of the odds to win the NBA Championship go to Bodog. There you can make a wager on your favorite team to win it all.
