LaSalle is a team on the come. Despite their 2-3 straight up record this team has competed in all four
of their lined games losing 65-61 to Florida St and losing to second ranked Connecticut 89-81 as 18
point underdogs. The Explorers lost in overtime to Southern Mississippi 76-72 and then beat Valparaiso
75-70. Head coach John Giannini gets the best out of his players and he now has experienced players
that he can trust. The Explorers are led by 6'5" guard Rodney Green who averages 13.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg,
and 3.2 apg. 6'8" sophomore forward Jerrell Williams averaged 9.1 ppg, and 6.4rpg. LaSalle went 8-8
in conference play last year and a 10-6 record in the Atlantic 10 Conference plus a trip to the NIT
would not shock us.
