NFC Divisional Betting Options
by Sports Interaction

With the 2010 NFL season just around the corner, Sports Interaction betting analyst Al Dannity breaks down the divisional races in the NFC.

The NFC East is loaded with offensive beasts in 2010. Eli Manning, Kevin Kolb, and Tony Romo have no shortage of toys to play with in the passing game and ample support on the ground to keep the chains moving. Kolb, at Philadelphia, has the deepest receiving corps in the division but winning the NFC East in his first season as a starter is going to be tough. Dallas has the most talent across both sides of the ball of any contender but is sorely lacking elite offensive linemen. The Cowboys won’t win if Tony Romo can’t stay on his feet. That leaves the Giants as the only team with the power and talent to stay in the fight for the full season. Eli Manning has led this team to greatness before and he can do it again in 2010. Bet on the New York Giants to win the NFC East at +145 and win big with Sports Interaction.

The race for the NFC North promises to go down to the last week of the season as Minnesota and Green Bay renew their decades-old rivalry. Both the Vikings and Packers have Super Bowl caliber rosters but Minnesota fans should be worried about Brett Favre’s health. The aging gunslinger has looked stiff in pre-season and that could open the door for Green Bay’s young offense to take command of the division. I like Aaron Rodgers to lead the Green Bay Packers to the NFC North title at +110 with Sports Interaction.

Don’t expect a Super Bowl hangover from the New Orleans Saints. Sean Payton’s team wants to repeat in 2010 and nobody in the NFC South is going to stop them. Atlanta will put up a good fight and might make the playoffs but Carolina and Tampa Bay won’t be able to live with New Orleans. Bet on the New Orleans Saints to win the NFC South at -200 and win big with Sports Interaction.

Finally we come to the wild NFC West. Pete Carroll looks capable of performing miracles in Seattle while defending champions Arizona are anything but confident entering 2010. While I like the Seahawks to play better in 2010, I don’t see them making the post-season. Instead look for a resurgent San Francisco to come of age this year. The 49ers may not have a Joe Montana or Steve Young under center but Mike Singletary has built a bruising unit that will be tough to beat. Bet on the San Francisco 49ers to win the NFC West at -125 and win big with Sports Interaction.
